Step 1
NADH is a reducing power present in cells. It is involved in the generation of ATP during the process of cellular respiration. Oxidation of glucose by glycolysis and the citric acid cycle of cellular respiration stores the released chemical energy in the form of NADH and FADH2.
Step 2
NADH and FADH2 enter into the electron transport chain of mitochondria. Oxidation of these reducing power generations a proton centration gradient which in turn serves as an energy source to drive the process of ADP phosphorylation.
