The Second World War took place during the 1940s i.e. from 1939 to 1945. This war was fought between two groups – the Allied powers (France, the US, the Soviet Union, China, and Great Britain) and the Axis powers (Germany, Italy, and Japan).
These powers were led by some of political leaders such as – Winston Churchill, Joseph Stalin, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Adolf Hitler, etc. However, this world war is known to be one of the most destructive wars in the history of mankind.
