I want us to consider Ephesians 4:11-3 which says, So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ (NIV). According to this passage, what is the job of church leaders? What is the job of the people they lead? Why might it be important to understand what God has called us to do within a church community?

Godly church leaders are responsible to lead, as leaders is the primary influence and the way that church leaders influence others is by their godly example in the local church. The leaders are expected to walk personally with god, rather it is believed that the way to keep a clear conscience is to walk in guidance to god’s words. With respect to church leadership, it implies that the church leader gives direction, motivation , reprimands and develops a set objective along with his group and receives individual or group needs within the church. This is taken into account of survival of church growth and its survival.
