The Arab Spring commenced in the Middle East in 2011, a series of anti-government protests that toppled numerous governments in the Middle East. It resulted in armed rebellion and uprisings in the Arab world. It started in Tunisia and then spread towards Egypt, Lybia, Yemen, Syria, and Bahrain.
