Can you please reply back to this ? The most concerning effect of climate change on the Northeast U.S. is the rising ocean levels along the coast. A significant amount of essential infrastructure as well as housing is in an immediate proximity to the coast line along the east coast. As the water level rises and encroaches along the coast, thousands of people and businesses will be effected. Also, maritime trade is essential to the economy in the northeast U.S. If ports and trade centers are affected by the rising water levels, the negative economic impact could be immense. The region that I think will be impacted the most by climate change is the polar regions of Earth. The region that I think will be impacted by climate change the most is the Northeast. Along with rising sea levels, the change in seasonal weather patterns impacts the wildlife as well. The migration and hibernation patterns of wildlife in the northeast depends on the temperature and changing of seasons, and if that cycle is affected it will have a negative impact on the wildlife in the Northeast region. Also, increased heat in the summers will cause an increase in wildfires in this region. This past summer there was an issue with air quality in the northeast resulting from wildfires in Canada. As climate change continues to increase the temperature, wildfires will become more intense and more common. Therefore, the Northeast region will be the one most impacted by climate change.
