Alfred Adler was a post-Freudian psychoanalyst whose theory, called individual psychology deviated away from Freud's classical psychoanalysis in many respects. Adler's theory shows a lot of optimism, as opposed to Freud, whose theories were mostly focused on the darker side of human nature.
