In many eukaryotic (and other prokaryotic) genes, the original RNA extracted from a genetic DNA model must be processed before it becomes a mature RNA (mRNA) that can direct protein synthesis. One of the steps in this process, called RNA splicing, involves the removal or “separation” of a series of so-called intervention sequences, or introductions. The final mRNA, therefore, contains a residual sequence, called exons, that are connected to each other by a fusion process. RNA splicing was first discovered in the 1970s, spending years thinking about the field of gene expression. Separation of the pre-mRNA molecule occurs in a few steps analyzed by small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs). After the U1 snRNP binds to the 5 splice site, the 5 'end of the intron base and the sequence of the branch below the river, forming a lariat. The 3 ′ ends of the exon is cut and joined to the branch area by a hydroxyl (OH) end of the 3 ′ exon attacking the phosphodiester bond in the 3 ′ splice area.
