Expert Solution
Step 1 Demolition of a building

Demolition is a process of bringing down a structure in debris and for doing this an organization should have a proper past history of demolition to estimate the volume measurement of the present structure. This demolition project required skilled labor who can follow proper safety rules and heavy machinery is used like bulldozers, wrecking ball etc.

Following are the important points to keep in mind for the volume measurement of the earmarked structure for demolition-

1) Conduct a full survey of the building and gather information about the construction of the building, flammable materials, chemicals, drainage conditions and checking on neighborhood for noise ,vibration and dirt.

2) Performing a structural survey of the building to check for any underground construction or basements.

3) Preparation of a demolition plan which will include detailed illustrations of all the measurements to be followed during demolition.

4) Determination of the best demolition method for example

  • excavation demolition
  • wrecking balls
