Expert Solution
Step 1
 DNA Both RNA
DNA is made up of deoxyribonucleotides. DNA and RNA has sugar-phosphate backbone. RNA is made up of ribonucleotides.
It is  double-stranded and it exhibits double helix structure. Both have A,G and C bases attached to sugar. It is single-stranded and sometimes it forms secondary and tertiary structure.
It is a long polymer. Both are biological polymers. It is a short polymer of ribonucleotides.
DNA carries the genetic information necessary for development, functioning and reproduction Both stores genetic information. RNA mainly involved in protein synthesis, sometimes it regulates the gene expression.
It prefers B-forms.

Both are joined to other nucleotides by phosphodiester bond.

It prefers A-forms.
DNA is more prone to UV damage.  Both are read in 3' to 5' direction and formed in 5' to 3' direction. RNA is less prone to UV damage.
DNA has A,T,G and C as bases.   RNA has A,U,G and C as bases.
In DNA, A pairs with T and G pairs with C.   In RNA, A pairs with U and G pairs with C.

DNA is mostly found in nucleus and nucleoid.

RNA is mostly found in cytoplasm.
