Question 5) (4.48070)^2= 23.107 N-1= 25-1= 24 23.107*24= 554.57 SS= 554.57 Question 6a) The Anxiety Scores for all of the participants have a mean, median, and standard deviation of 5.92, 4.00, and 4.48 respectively. The shape appears to be a positive skew according to the histogram. Question 6b) The mean is not a good center of this distribution because the distribution is skewed positively and thus not a normal distribution. Question 7a) The mean and standard deviation of “scoresthree” are 17.76 and 13.44 respectively. The mean and the standard deviation of the “scoresthree” variable is each three times the respective mean and standard deviation of the original Anxiety score variable (“score”).
Question 7b) The shape of the distribution for “scoresthree” while positively skewed, would be wider and more stretched out along the x-axis compared to the original shape of the Anxiety Scores variable. This is due to the standard deviation of “scoresthree” being three times the standard deviation of “score”, hence the data is more spread out which results in the curve being more widespread.
