The information or data set that I chose to create charts and graphs for is COVID-19. The dataset is the percentage of Covid-19 in the United States from 2
3
February 2020 to September 2021. The ratios are estimated at one hundred thousand in each age group (CDC, 2020). Creating the chart and graph is simple, depending on your knowledge and user level with Microsoft Excel. Even if you are
unfamiliar with Microsoft Excel, having basic user knowledge of Microsoft Word will suffice. Simply click on the insert tab up top, then click on the graph picture. Next, you will be able to choose from a variety of charts and graphs, choose whichever you think suits the information you wish to display. The hardest and most confusing part will be entering the data into the Microsoft Excel window that will open up, but with trial and error, you should be able to figure it out.

The migration pattern of Monarch butterflies are tracked by a catch-and-release method in which individual
butterflies are tagged with a circular, lightweight sticker placed carefully on the wings so as not to impede
their ability to fly. The sticker contains a unique ID number. Volunteers across the U.S. and South America
capture the butterflies, record the IDs if they are tagged, and release them. This allows us to track the
locations each unique ID is found, allowing us to estimate the migration pattern. On average, 1 out of 100
captured butterflies are already tagged. Suppose you are a volunteer and capture 50 butterflies; let X denote
the number of those that are already tagged. What is the distribution of X? What is the probability that
you catch at least one tagged butterfly?

Determine a method that would be appropriate for answering this research question. Using StatCrunch* and the available data, perform the statistical procedure deemed appropriate.
Hint: In order to adequately answer this question, you will need to perform an additional statistical procedure
