During this week's module we discussed Antecedent conditions and covered BACB task lists B-10 and B-12. I found this week's module very dense and a little bit confusing. In turn, this
made me sit down and really have to hone in on definitions and how I can apply them to my work. Task list B-10 states “Define and provide examples of stimulus control” and to follow this B-12 states “Define and provide examples of motivating operations” (BACB, task list 5th ed. 2017). In regards to B-10 and the topic of stimulus control, it is to be noted that both the frequency and the duration of the targeted behavior is altered by either the presence or absence of
an antecedent stimulus (Cooper et al., 2020). One example would be if a child is on a working schedule 1 minute of work and 3 minutes of play. After the child earns their break they will play for 3 minutes, once the sound of the timer goes off they come back to the table for work. To be able to maintain or create stimulus control, one must have two stimuli and differential consequences. MO’s or motivating operations, are an environmental variable that can either increase or decrease the effectiveness of the reinforcement or punishment (Cooper et al., 2020). Motivating operations can have a value-altering effect that occurs with the consequence, when this happens it either will get rid of or determine how effective the punishment or reinforcement is. The next effect that could take place would be behavior altering. What will happen is the effect will happen to the current behavior that either abates or evokes what was reinforced or punished earlier on. We also learned about two types of motivating operations, which were unconditioned
“UMO” and conditioned “CMO”. Both of these can be used to determine motivating operations with a client.

Like every module, Ethic code 2.01 “providing effective treatment” for clients can be applied– we must make sure what we are doing is working and can be applied continuously. The next code is 2.13 “selecting, Designing, and Implementing Assessments” could be applied to this
module. We must make sure our assessments are in tune with the programs and interventions we are implementing.

A local CHP office postulates that, over a specific road with posted speed limit of 40 mph, people travel at higher
rates of speeds at night than during the day. The Research Office collected all speeding tickets given on the
stretch of road last month over three times of the day: Morning, Afternoon and Night. The data is as follows:

Some analysts complain that spreadsheet models are difficult to resize. You can be the judge of this. Suppose the current product mix problem is changed so that there is an extra resource, packaging labor hours, and two additional PC models, 9 and 10. What additional input data are required? What modifications are necessary in the spreadsheet model (including range name changes)? Make up values for any extra required input data and incorporate these into a modified spreadsheet model. Then optimize with Solver. Do you conclude that it is easy to resize a spreadsheet model? (By the way, it turns out that algebraic models are typically much easier to resize.)

I need some assistance solving Part B of this question. Refer to the excel data in the image provided to answer Part B. SoftBus Company sells PC equipment and customized software to small companies to help them manage their day-to-day business activities. Although SoftBus spends time with all customers to understand their needs, the customers are eventually on their own to use the equipment and software intelligently. To understand its customers better, SoftBus recently sent questionnaires to a large number of prospective customers. Key personnel—those who would be using the software—were asked to fill out the questionnaire. SoftBus received 82 usable responses, as shown in the file. You can assume that these employees represent a random sample of all of SoftBus's prospective customers. SoftBus believes it can afford to spend much less time with customers who own PCs and score at least 4 on PC Knowledge. Let's call these the "PC-savvy" customers. On the other hand, SoftBus believes it…

Suppose you have been hired as a management consultant by a major oil company to help it optimally price gasoline at its service stations. Your client would like your team to perform a study on customers' gasoline purchasing habits when they notice an increase in the price of gas.
You have access to the following groups of people:
Group Description
Number in Group
People who have not noticed a gas-price increase
30
People who drive electric cars
35
People who have recently noticed a gas-price increase
80
People who ride their bikes to work
20
People who ride the bus
100
