Thank you for your post on evaluating practice. An additional reason social worker should evaluate their practice for clients is to be able to understand the efficacy of their intervention and the actual level of change when working with a client. Being able to measure client outcomes in comparison with their goals will allow social workers to understand the effectiveness of their work and whether or not they need to pivot with a particular client and change their intervention model (Dudley, 2020). About the ethical challenge, the case of Tiffani could pose 1.07 privacy and confidentiality issues (NASW). The social worker, however, could request for limits to be placed on the court subpoenas to protect Tiffani's privacy as much as possible (Reamer, 2016). In this way, the social worker may be required by law to breach some level of confidentiality with her client, but they may be able to protect areas of privacy that do not directly pertain to the court proceedings.
