Families and friends relationships play a big role in adolescent development as well as family structure. All families have transitions, but most are effective by effective parenting practices as well as the environment around the adolescence. Families are there to help promote growth and development amongst adolescent children in a typical two parent household. This source goes with the topic because it talks about the diverse family structures of adolescent development. It also shit light on how affect parenting practices in the economic well-being can negatively affect the development of the adolescence. Part 2: Literature Review I found the literature review very informative. After typing in each topic, I searched through numerous articles for each one until I found the one that caught my eye. At the reading the ones that I like I brought that with me. Lots of new information that I can use as well as share with other fellow teachers at my center. ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY 4 Analysis Throughout my research on culturally, relevant education, antibias curriculum, and diapers, family structures I have learned quite a lot of new information about each topic. First, An ample amount of evidence of the effectiveness and the need for culturally relevant education , it has been treated by many schools as a professional choice or new initiative rather than a fundamental approach when teaching multicultural students. Second, anti-bias is everywhere in the world. But it's up to the teacher to effectively show that in the classroom everyone is on one accord. No one is left out and everyone gets along with others without causing harm or disrespect anyone’s culture. Lastly, Family structures play a big part in multicultural education. A lot of families are immigrants, and some don't even come from a two-person household. Affective communication between the teacher and the parent would help any diverse household. Be successful. Staying on the same page with families would be a great help for the diverse children and families. Relevance Cultural diversity and cultural competence is important in early childhood education because it helps the teachers celebrate the difference and cultures in the classroom. It helps the teachers encourage families to come in and participate and cultural programs or even events that are being held at the school. This helps educate everyone on each other 's cultural experiences and what they are all about. This helps children built their own self esteem as well as self- awareness it promotes positive culture inclusive practices. Reflection
ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY 5 At the door, my research, what each topic, my outcome of cultural diversity and cultural competence has become better. It helped me understand that not everyone is the same when it comes to culture. Everyone is different which is a good thing and having someone coming in tell you about their culture helps you better understand what they are they're going through and how you can avoid awkward things when it comes to culture. It also educated me on the dues and the don'ts and that it's OK to ask questions when pertaining someone’s culture. Impact and Application All the information that I take from each article back to my classroom will help me in the long run. It helps me understand that educators can celebrate the difference cultures as well as encourage all families too come in and participate in tell us about their culture to let everyone get a better understanding of them. Each article enhance my learning on how I can help ensure adequate support for Childs culture and help support them in the best way an educator possibly can. Conclusion Inclusion, culturally, relevant education, and preschool helps connect the children's culture, experiences in languages that they learn in the classroom. Anti-bias curriculum helps children, understand that supporting all no matter their culture is the right thing to do it helps them with both thinking, and problem-solving skills that they will use in every aspect of their life. Diverse family structure vary from each child in the room. As an educator, it is important to effectively communicate with all family types so that everyone is on one accord when it comes to the children's aspects of life in the classroom.
