Assignment # 1: Problem Solving (15%) This assignment relates to the following Course Learning Requirements: CLR 1 - Apply concept of lifelong learning to the development of a personal and professional leadership style CLR 2 - Develop professional skills for success within an educational setting, the community, and the workplace CLR 3 - Establish guidelines for professional conduct within an educational setting, the community and the workplace CLR 4 - Apply ethical decision-making strategies to issues on a personal, professional and industry level in accordance with the principles of sustainability (economic, social and environmental) Objective of this Assignment: To comprehend when you have an ethical duty to intervene if you witness workplace harassment, and how you would approach the situation. Instructions: After reading the course materials for Lesson 4, write a paper which identifies the following: Identify a hypothetical scenario in which you witnessed workplace harassment . Explain why it is your ethical duty to intervene. Determine what the best way to intervene is. Discuss what outcome should be expected. Please do not use an example of sexual harassment — it is very complicated and would prefer you stick to workplace harassment in general. Submission: A professional-looking document, free of spelling and grammar errors is expected. The assignment should be approximately 4 pages in length. Your assignment must also include a title page and reference page which is not included in the page count. When you structure your assignment, please do the following: first page is to be a cover page and you should indicate assignment #, title, course name, course code, course facilitator, student name and ID, and date the last page should list any applicable references; name the file with your last name, the # of the paper, and course code (i.e., if it were your first paper, the file would be Smith_01_GED7105.doc);
number the pages in the header; keep text double space and an easily readable font (Times New Roman 12pt); and include your name in the footer of each page.
