2 Finale Reflections I learned a lot during my skills lab experience. One thing I learned was to be comfortable asking uncomfortable questions. For example, Are you thinking of killing yourself? My colleague showed me how important it was to use your name during that time. It would engage a more honest answer. Explain the skills you showcased during the Skills Lab Intensive experience and what you considered in your response to the scenario you faced in Day 3 Session 3. One of my prompts on day three was an angry client who wanted to hurt their partner. My goal was to find what they planned to do and defuse them. I used empathy, active listening, and Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) skills. How did this demonstration show you are ready to enter your field experience? I was surprised that my thought process was correct with the scenario I was placed in. The feedback from the professors was constructive and insightful. I have been told before to trust my intuition or instincts and was always apprehensive to do that, but after the prompt, I feel better about myself. Explain how you will incorporate these learnings into your Field Education experience. I plan to lean into my learnings from this exercise to enhance my confidence. I am starting to see that I am doing better than #I give myself credit for. Thank you so much for your help and understanding.
