2 Preparation For Licensure Once an MSW from an accredited college is obtained, I can use the following steps to attain licensure in Arkansas. First Step To begin my journey toward LMSW licensure, I must complete an application (Social Work Licensing Requirements in Arkansas, 2023). I can print or complete it online (Social Work Licensing Requirements in Arkansas, 2023). Once I have turned in my application, I will let the school know to mail an official transcript, as electronic copies are not accepted (Social Work Licensing Requirements in Arkansas, 2023). Second Step Once my application has been processed, I will get instructions to complete the criminal background check (Social Work Licensing Requirements in Arkansas, 2023). I will get fingerprinted and return it with the papers (Social Work Licensing Requirements in Arkansas, 2023). Afterward, I will receive a provisional LMSW license for one year (Social Work Licensing Requirements in Arkansas, 2023). Third Step I can take the test once permitted to register by the Board (Social Work Licensing Requirements in Arkansas, 2023). The test is called the ASWB Master’s Exam and is 170 questions, multiple choice (Social Work Licensing Requirements in Arkansas, 2023). After the test, my scores will be transferred by two weeks, and the test cost is $230 (Social Work Licensing Requirements in Arkansas, 2023).
