This could identify patterns, correlation, and relationships between variables. Qualitative methods explore opinions and experiences through interviews, observations, and analysis of texts without using numbers Mixed method research designs The use of both qualitative and quantitative methods in a study. It helps to get a clearer picture by looking at different evidence using data, analysis, etc. Qualitative studies Teti et al., (autism and photovoice) Ladds et al., (long-covid; thematic data analyses) - Unit of measurement: how a variable of interest is measured in a study (ie. survey, assessment, etc.); Choice of measure used to study the variables of interest. - Grounded theory : When a theory is “grounded” or supported by other research. - Snowballing: This is a research technique in which researchers ask participants to recruit acquaintances that may be eligible for the study. This method is especially useful for populations that are hard-to-reach or scarce. - Thematic analysis: qualitative research method that identifies, analyzes and reports patterns (themes) within the data - Case Study : An in depth study and analysis of one individual.
