Except: The College of Education and Human Development at Temple University promotes education as a primary mechanism for social mobility and social justice for all learners. Our mission is to prepare all of our students as educational leaders and agents of change who employ leading-edge understandings and evidence-based practices in whatever setting they work. In our research we conduct well-designed investigations that have the potential to improve learning and teaching, especially for historically underserved populations and provide effective mentorship of doctoral students so that they can engage in similar kinds of investigations on their own. In our teaching we strive to infuse our findings and those of other investigators into our coursework in ways that provide practitioners and prospective practitioners with deep understandings both of research and theory and of how to bring research and theory into effective practice. In our service we endeavor to create and implement an infrastructure, policies and procedures that facilitate and enhance the implementation of the teaching and research missions of the College.
