Budget cutbacks in teaching staff and other resources have made it a vital necessity to recruit volunteers who will work with students on an individual basis to improve reading and math skills. Write an appeal of approximately 125 words on behalf of this school system to recruit adult tutors. Assume that the target audience are professionals, over the age of 35, who work full-time and do not have children in the school system. Base your appeal on any or all of Aristotle's ideas of persuasion (source credibility, emotion, logic). Dear Professionals, As a respected member of our community, we are seeking your assistance in improving our city's future. Our school system is in dire need of adult tutors who can dedicate their time and expertise to help children improve their basic math and reading skills. We understand that you may have a busy schedule and may not have children in the school system. However, we implore you to consider the importance of education and the impact it has on our community. According to Aristotle, excellence is a habit, and we believe that helping and teaching the youth is one of the most rewarding habits one can cultivate. As leaders in this city, your involvement in our school system will be a powerful statement about your commitment to the community's future. By volunteering as an adult tutor, you can help ensure that our students receive the education they deserve, and you can help foster their growth and development. We appeal to you using all three of Aristotle's ideas of persuasion - source credibility, emotion, and logic. As a respected professional, your expertise and knowledge will be an asset to our students. Emotionally, we ask that you consider the rewarding feeling of helping a child succeed and the positive impact that it will have on their future. Logically, we urge you to consider the importance of education and how it is essential for the growth and development of our community. In conclusion, we cannot achieve our goals as a school system without your help. Your involvement will have a significant impact on the lives of our students and the future of our city.
