SUW7 Documentation and Assessment (Page 442) 1a. Collaboration planning can take place when educators share recorded observations. 1b. It is an Educators' union that offers lessons and data in a variety of perspectives that are able to support the process of obtaining accurate results when they are focusing on an individual. Whenever Unbiased Documentation Or Observations collide, Collaboration reaches its truest form, and Instructors can go backward instead of forward and provide the child with the necessary support they need. (Page 466) 2a. If assessment data collection is built into daily classroom duties and responsibilities, teachers and other adults are more likely to collect, interpret, and use the information. 2b. A typical day in an early childhood education classroom can be busy and unpredictable. It seems logical to me that assessment data should be collected as part of the classroom schedule. The responsibility may not be taken seriously enough if it is not made an important responsibility. It will be difficult to plan and set goals for data without current assessments. (Page 474) 3a. Program staff will not force parents to meet the needs of their child or to see the child in the same way as program staff see the child. As a result, the staff of the program can see the child's needs as the parents do. 3b . As an educator, I believe that this is an important statement. It's important for teachers to get to know the parents and ask and understand the child's strengths and weaknesses. In order to educate children, we must truly work together. The child's educational process must be actively managed by both teachers and parents for the child to have a positive experience. Parents are crucial to ensuring that programs are designed in a way that best suits their children's needs and are encouraged to participate in the process.
