It is something that many authors globally try to understand. Rap culture has been instrumental in raising most Blacks' plights in the United States, mostly in the 20th century. It provides insight into the important culture and history of Black people. A focus on the development of Rap Music among African Americans is instrumental in understanding its societal culture. History of Rap among African Americans. The mid to late 1970s were important, mostly regarding the cultural shockwave that swept the United States. The name hip hop originated from New York’s City economic paralysis. The focus of its origin was the neglected Black and Latino communities in the Bronx. Since its origin in the Bronx, Rap music has become a part of and talks about the long line in cultural traditions associated with Black Americans and Africans in the diaspora. Much of what artists write about hip hop originates from this culture via several stages. It begins with a music-and-dance-based phenomenon that people create for their use. It also ends with dominant global youth culture ( Aliagas 198) . The West African griot traditions are also a significant player in creating a connection with rap music. The use of local settings and strong vocal skills have made it possible for individuals to consider the art of wandering storytellers that uses knowledge to talk about individuals' lives. The situation has influenced them to remain ‘gods’ who influence African Americans to think of the power to improve their socio-economic and political positions. The importance of spoken-word artist, street poet, and R & B music is seen through the patterns of content associated with rap music. The fusion of spoken word and rhythmic singing makes it possible to include all audiences in rap music. A profound influence on the music types can be evaluated from what many individuals consider an unlikely source. This source is the Black Church. The Black Church. The Black Church has been established on the foundation of issues facing the Black’s resistance to inequality and discrimination caused on them. The combination of parables and testimonials by Black preachers has been instrumental in ensuring sermons regarding the lives of blacks in the country are brought to life ( Evans 25) . Black preaching has always used its sermons to call out a phrase, and the congregation responds to it. This, in turn, creates a connection between preachers and their audiences. The nature of such communication creates a discursive public form address, which is an open dialogue between preachers and congregation. Such an interactive experience is an important factor in the connection created by rap musicians and their audiences. In conclusion, the Rap music style over the years is oral competition in hip hop culture. It combines humorous insults and oral skills to silence an opponent. Belittling those who mistreat and discriminate against African Americans is an important component of this type of style. It
