insights as though you are really trying to teach someone. Include at least three scripture references to support the truths you teach (you may reference them, but there is no need to quote them). Share your testimony as you would when teaching someone. Your response will be evaluated by the following criteria:

(please include your word count at the bottom of the section).
2.

.
Response: The first article of faith states that we beileve the members of the godhead are 3 separate beings, in contrast to other religons who believe they are just one being. The Article states, "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." Each is separate and has different purposes. D&C 76: 23-24 helps us
understand Jesus in relation to Heavenly Father, "23
For we saw
him, even on the right hand
of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten
of the Father—
24
That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds
are and were created, and the inhabitants
thereof are begotten sons
and daughters unto God."
It clearly defines Jesus as being separate from Heavenly Father, explaining that he is actually the son of god and creator of the earth. This passage also states that we too are children of god making Jesus our brother. T
he article the godhead helps us understand the Holy Ghost better, "The Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead. He is a personage of spirit and does not have a body of flesh and bone. He is often referred to as the Spirit." (The Godhead) He is a separate being from heavenly father and Jesus but doesn't possess a body. His purpose is to comfort and help us receive spiritual gifts.
Word Count: 4. Synthesis: Personal Relevance and Application to the Real World
There are many serious challenges people encounter on a daily basis that are consequences
of living in a fallen world. The gospel truths taught in the Articles of Faith have tremendous power to help people find answers, rise above problems, or simply feel God's love and concern for them again.
Each week you will choose an issue (below) and think deeply about how the truths in that week’s Article of Faith can offer hope to those who are experiencing the problem. If you have another issue that particularly interests you, then choose your own:
abortion
abuse/bullying
addiction
depression
divorce
domestic violence
energy/environmental issues
violence
gambling
genocide
homosexuality
international terrorism
materialism
natural disasters
pornography
unemployment
poverty
racial strife/hatred
religious intolerance/persecution
threats to religious liberty
same-sex marriage
suicide
Scenario: Imagine you are speaking to someone who has experienced or has concerns about
the issue you have chosen. What would you share from the doctrine and fundamental truths that you have studied this past week to help that person? Include why you think these truths and doctrine are helpful and what they have meant to you. Be encouraging with the truths you know.
Write a response in at least 300-450 words
and list your word count at the end of your response.
5.
The world problem/issue I chose this week is:
Response: The truths learned from this week can be applied to helping understand homosexuality. In the article Mother In Heaven, Gordon B Hinckley states, “
"neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.”
Men and women cannot be exalted without each other. Just as we have a Father in Heaven, we have a Mother in Heaven." Man and woman are the grand design, in a relationship your need both to build a family. Family is the core of our religion so there is a great emphasis on marriage between man and woman as god intended. As much as someone may feel attracted to the opposite gender that doesn’t change the way of the universe. As a child of god we understand we have heavenly parents, a heavenly father and mother, so to become like them and reach our full potential we must follow by example. I feel very strongly that marriage is a very sacred thing and it honestly make me sad to see how the world has been twisting it.
