FAITH Faith is a strong belief in God or the doctrines of are legion based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof(Google, n.d.). "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith—and is not from yourselves, and it is the gift of God" (Holy Bible, New International Version. 1973/2011. Ephesians2:8). "Therefore, among God's churches, we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring"(Holy Bible, New International Version.1973/2011. 2 Thessalonians 1:4). "And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith" (Holy Bible, New International Version.1973/2011. 2 Thessalonians 3:2
IMPORTANCE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF FAITH IN PAUL’S THEOLOGY Paul taught and preached about the life, death, resurrection, and lordship of Jesus. Paul makes a point that faith is the belief in the promises of God. Paul declared that we could have a share in Jesus' life only through faith in Jesus.

PAUL'S UNDERSTANDING OF FAITH THROUGH THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS. Paul did not know or follow Jesus until after Jesus' crucifixion; Paul's conversion to Christianity happened on the road to Damascus (Gundry, 2012, p. 337). Paul considered himself a servant of Jesus Christ.• “The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus" (Holy Bible, New International Version. 1973/2011. 1 Timothy 1:14).
THE IMPACT OF FAITH IN THE MODERN CHURCH The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!"(Holy Bible, New International Version. 1973/2011.Luke 17:5). The principles of Christianity are based on faith. Christopher Hitchens stated, "I would say that if you don't believe that Jesus of Nazareth was the Christ and Messiah, and that he rose again from the dead and by his sacrifice our sins are forgiven, you're really not in any meaningful sense a Christian" (Myers & Noebel, 2016, p. 37
LIFE WITH THE DOCTRINAL TRUTH OF FAITH He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you" (Holy Bible, New International Version.1973/2011. Matthew 17:20).
