1. What are various beliefs regarding the gospel message in our culture? In my opinion I think a belief we have in our culture is that the existence of God serves as a basis of nearly every Christian belief. Within our culture, there is a huge number of different ways every Christian interprets the Holy Bible. But, besides the fact of interpreting scriptures different ways, Christians still believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead, three days after his crucifixion. 2. What are some specific emotional reasons non-Christians do not accept Christ as Savior? When talking about emotions, I think people expect God to automatically react when in need of something. Of course, things don’t happen in the blink of an eye when it comes to God himself, everything takes time and I feel like people tend to lose faith in God because they expect things to happen on their time and not on his time. Matthew 6:34 states, “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” 3. What are some specific moral reasons non-Christians do not accept Christ as Savior? I feel like some non-Christians tend to feel like they are too good for their own. I think they believe that they do not need a savior. John 14:6 states, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This verse demonstrates to us that people who deny Christ will not be able to stand before God and advocate for themselves. 4. What are some specific intellectual reasons non-Christians do not accept Christ as Savior? I think some reasons non-Christians do not accept Christ is because some people do not believe every specific thing that they cannot identify. For instance, imagine someone saying, pigs can fly. Who is going to believe that without physical proof, or even seeing it with their own eyes. Once it is seen from the point of view of that person, they will start to believe. 5. What are some apologetic methods Christians can share to address these reasons and better communicate the gospel message? In my opinion, I believe that us Christians should be able too not be so judgmental even if we have different beliefs than everyone else. Regardless, not every Christian thinks the same, but we should be able to accept everyone who differs from us. We can believe in different things, but we should still be understanding and reasonable about why people think the way they do. Romans 15: 5-7 state, “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude
of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” (532 words total) References: ( MSG , Matthew 6.34) ( ESV , John 14.6) ( NIV , Romans 15.5-7)
