Summary for Genesis 1
Genesis opens the greatest book with an amazing description of how the world came to be. Genesis chapter one tells how God took six full days to speak into creation all that exists. And God finishes each day by looking over His creation and declaring that it is good!
Summary
for Genesis 2
Genesis chapter 2 tells of how God creates man and woman. It explains how God formed man out if the dust of the ground, and He created woman from the rib of man. In this chapter it also explains how God charges the mankind to have dominion over all the earth and to be good stewards of what God had given them.
Summary for Genesis 3
Genesis 3 tells of man’s temptation and fall. Satan comes, in the form of a serpent, and deceives Eve into eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. After Adam also chooses to eat the fruit they realize their sin; God comes down and explains the consequences for their actions.

Summary for Genesis 4
Humanity continues through Cain and Abel, but along with humanity the curse continues.
Chapter 4 tells of how Cain murders his brother Abel, God confronts Cain of his actions and Cain is forced to move away and start his own family. The chapter ends with Adam and Eve having another son named Seth.

Summary for Genesis 6
Genesis six tells of how mankind had turned evil and they were only doing sin continually. So God decides that He was going to start the world over with a man named Noah, and he was going to do it in a unique way through a flood.
Summary for Genesis 7
Noah finished up the ark and all the animals gather and they get into the ark then God shut the door of the ark. Noah, his wife, his three sons, and then his sons wives were all saved inside the ark, and the flood continued for 150 days without receding at all.
Summary for Genesis 8
God focuses his attention back towards Noah, and the flood begins to recede then the Ark
rested onto of Mount Ararat. Once the earth had dried up, Noah leaves the ark and offers an offering unto the Lord, thanking Him for saving them.
Summary for Genesis 9
God charges Noah to go out and be fruitful and multiply, and God promises to never flood the earth again and He places a rainbow in the sky. Noah and his sons start replenishing the
earth, but they fail to go out into all the world.

Summary of Genesis 11:1-9
The tower of Babel was erected in Genesis 11, the people had disobeyed the commandment to spread out over all the earth, and instead decided to build a tower that would reach the heavens. Because of their disobedience God decides to mix up their languages in order to make them disperse around the earth.
Genesis 11 – Write the age of each man at the time of the birth of his son and his death. Note, you will need to use addition to determine the “Age at death.”
