In my 13 years as a worship Leader at my church I never knew the proper way to hold a
microphone until I started taking this class. Throughout my years as a worship leader, I never had
anyone teach me how to be a good worship leader because I was put in this position with no
training. This course about proper microphone technique really opened my eyes. I learned that to
get a good sound you must hold your microphone in the right way.
The way you hold your microphone is very important for you to get God’s word out to
the people through sing. I’m learning if I do not hold my microphone in the proper way, it will
make it hard for my audience to hear me. Sometimes when I’m doing praise and worship in front
of people, I do not know I get nervous, and I hold my microphone down so that they can not hear
me. As I go through this course, I feel I have developed a little because I have a little more
confidence in myself to hold the microphone so that I can sing God’s praises.
