Session 5 Final Assignment
1.In Session 1, you were asked to read
CCU’s Strategic Priorities
. Review the strategic
priorities again in light of what we have talked about thus far in the course. Identify two of the
strategic objectives that reflect a biblical or Christian worldview and explain how you see the
elements of the worldview exemplified.
Objective 1: Teach students to trust the Bible, live holy lives, and be. Evangelist.
(“Strategic Objectives,” n.d.)
CCU puts the objective into play in three practical ways. As students, we are all taught to
trust the Bible as the complete word of God. Bickel and Jantz Describe in their book Knowing
the Bible, 101. "The Bible is God's revelation of himself to people." (Bickel & Jantz,2003,
pg19). Regardless of what course. You may be taken. The professor has a way of bringing us
back to the powerful word of Scripture. Even though this is only my second course here at CCU,
I have had a fantastic experience with the professors. Their engagement and direction Help me
find all the answers I seek to real-world problems. Second, CCU does an outstanding job
encouraging our students to live Christ-like lives. In these classes, we are being challenged to
look outside of ourselves. Text courage and calling. 2011. Encourage us to live out Christ-like
lives by following Our Calling. In other classes, similar texts have encouraged the same ideas
that God made us unique and is equipping us to take his message to the masses. The third point is
CCU teaching students to follow what James told us to be; "But be doers of the word and not
hearers only, deceiving yourselves." (James 1: 22. EVS). CCU gives us the tools, resources, and
knowledge to apply Scripture to our lives. We have the love of Christ in our hearts and the desire
to share him with the nation. I love being a part of CCU's family because I am being nurtured
and equipped to spread the word of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Objective 2: Seeking the truth. (“Strategic Objectives,” n.d.)
I have only been at CCU briefly, but I have been so impressed by the encouragement to
learn and grow as a person, a child of God, and an adult learner. This university is investing in
my life, changing my abilities, and demonstrating a way to provoke me to dive deeper into the
questions in each assignment. SCU. We are taught to seek God's Word and spread His Word, as
Proverbs 27:17 tells us. "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17,
NIV).
2. After you have identified how the Christian worldview is evident in two of the strategic
priorities, reflect on what you have learned throughout this course by answering the following
questions:
a. What did you discover about CCU that expanded your understanding of what it
means to attend Colorado Christian University?
I expected that attending a Christian university would mean pretending to be always a
good Christian with no flow. To my surprise, others were like me, from the faculty and my
classmates at CCU. I am not just a member or a dollar sign. I am an essential part of the body of
Christ, and I love that. I realize that who I am and am becoming reflects CCU and my father. I
am humbled to join CCU and walk this world with my fellow Christians. CCU has given me the
confidence that I will receive a fantastic education. And a better perspective on a Christian
worldview. Not only am I being taught my major, but I am also learning about the Bible, God,
and even myself. Based on other schools I have attended, CCU is incredibly special, and I am
glad I am here.
b. What did you discover that may have the greatest impact on your approach to
your education at Colorado Christian University?

The best part of my experience at CCU is that it is Acceptable. And even encourage. Two
questions previously held views and assumptions—CCU concern with my intellectual,
Professional, and spiritual growth. Learn how to ask the right questions of myself, my
classmates, and even my professors to gain prompt knowledge and genuine understanding. For
example. I had previously agreed with what Smith described in his book Courage and Calling.
"Deep within the psyche of most Christians, the assumption that religious works is inherently
more sacred than all other activities." (Smith, 2011, pg. 35). Now, after attending a few classes
here at CCU, I have begun to be stimulated to challenge the questions.
Furthermore, I have realized that God has equipped me to do well with his gift. My
calling is to be a mental health counselor. It is lifelong and not just limited to my current place in
life. There are not enough words to thank CCU and God for believing in me and giving me the
time to accomplish my goals in life.
Here are some of my favorite Scriptures I would like to leave you with.
“One night, the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not
be silent.” (Acts 18:9b, NIV)
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds—not
giving up, meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and
all the more as you see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10 24-25, NIV)
“Start children off on the way they should go. And even when they are old, they will not
turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6, NIV)
