Wk03h- The Tabernacle The Tabernacle, as described in the Old Testament, is a significant part of Israelite history and religious tradition. The Tabernacle was especially structure designed to be a divine dwelling place for God among the Israelites. The construction was guided by detailed instructions given by God to Moses. The Tabernacle consisted of an outer courtyard and an inner tent with the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies, symbolizing different levels of holiness and access to God's presence. The symbolism played a crucial hole in the tabernacle’s design and in rituals. The choice of materials, colors, and the measurements has symbolic meaning. Materials like Acacia wood, and gold that were used symbolically to represent humanity’s imperfection and divine purity. Ritual , such as animal sacrifices, symbolized atonement and reconciliation with God. The Priest function , also have significant importance. The Tabernacle was closely associated with priesthood, initially lead by Aaron and his descendants. The priest was responsible for maintaining the tabernacle, conduction sacrifices, and representing people before God. This emphasized the need of intermediaries between the people and God.
