THEO 201
March 8, 2023
Question 1
How has your view of theology changed over the past eight weeks? My understanding of theology hasn't altered, but I do think it has become more concrete. Although reading and studying a ton of stuff over my more than ten years as a Christ follower, these past eight weeks have informed me significantly. By having my theology bolstered as it has over the past eight weeks, I think generally I will be a better Christian. I've had a great time in this class, and I absolutely cannot wait to continue putting in hard work for my computer science degree from Liberty. As always, I do everything in the name of Jesus and give glory to our Lord. Every lesson, text, and homework have provided me with a lot of knowledge, and they all collectively have improved me as a man. After viewing the discussion boards and articles of my fellow students and instructors impacted me in a positive way with not only learning for class, but learning of myself, as it says in 2 Timothy, “
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). I think this class has made my faith deeper than it has ever been before.
Question 2
How Will you be able to apply and to put in practice the principles you have learned from
this course into your life and future vocation? Also, this class has given me valuable life abilities that I can use now. Understanding that the Bible is indeed God's inspired word gives me more assurance when I share it with other individuals, aids me in spreading the gospel as a Christian and also, ultimately helps me be ready to be the best disciple I can be for Jesus here on Earth. I can now better articulate why the Bible is fact rather than myth. It functions as a sort of life blueprint. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I am comforted by the knowledge that the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit and contains the truth directly from God, and my faith in Jesus is growing as a result. I now have a much greater knowledge of Christ's Godhead because of Theology 201, and I realize that I am not responsible for my redemption. God has freely given it to us. Accepting in Jesus's promises and the work he accomplished on the cross are necessary. Altogether, taking Theology 201 has provided for me to establish a more intimate relationship with God and Jesus.
