Osceola, Arkansas the area in which our church ministry planted. The strategies used for planting a church are from various models of church planting by Ed Stetzer. The models that are in connection with church planting are: purpose-driven and seeker/missional approach. Understanding the models offer advantages: [a] provides a perspective of how the spirit work the
past to birth churches; [b] the models assist in conceptualizing church-planting theories and the creation of strategies and assembling groups of new believers; [3] provides church planters with points of reference from which they can begin their work.
1
For church planters, a model is a form
or expression of the local church that is culturally defined by both the church planter and the people they are serving, in light of the biblical parameters of what constitutes a church.
2
As church planters consider the numerous contemporary and historic models, it is important that they recognize the strengths and limitations of those in their original contexts as well as in the church planters’ present contexts.
3
Effective church planting is work of missionary. Insightful church planters must begin by determining their mission—exploring questions of personal call and conviction—and by learning missions principles and then they seek to understand the culture
they have been called to reach.
4
The answer the church planter must seek would be what area I am called to and what to do in the area. The answer might not come quickly but it will be on time. As a church planter it takes prayer, focusing, meditation, dedication and staying in connection with God for his direction. The church planter needs to contextualize the area once God shows you where the planting should be located. The main approach is to be relational with individuals that a church 1

planter may come in contact within the area. The approach is to form meaningful connections in the area of Osceola which affirmed as one of the valid steps in Ed Stetzer book called Planting Missional Churches. Planter and teams will be forming connections with people and tenants by reaching out to them through networking, meeting, and going house to house handing out fliers and being active in the community. The church planter also working within social groups and joining forces with other church planters reaching out to the people in the area/community to build relationships. For us to become prosperous in the Osceola, the church planter will have to become bi-
vocational (meaning the pastor will not be able to receive a monetary salary starting out). The area is a low-income based housing (people are on fixed income or government assist) we feel this will be best starting out and as time progress the planter will receive a full time salary. And the community will be able to see the planter is not there for money but to be a help, this approach will gain the trust of many people in the area. I know the church planter is ok with being bi-vocational because he knows the area is low-income based and the first church he has planted in Blytheville, Arkansas back in 2006, he did not take a salary for a couple of years. He wanted the ministry to grow and the church bank account to grow before he would receive anything. We have to build a connection and trust, it will be the key to a meaningful relationship in the community. According to Rick Warren, in a small church with limited resources, it is vital that you make the most of what you have gotten and focus your resources on reaching people in your community can best communicated with.

community, and they begin to visit the church we have to make them feel loved and comfortable so they will want to return again. They will receive a pamphlet once they entered through the doors with the information about the church and visitor information, as well. We will not pressure the people to come back but we will say the doors are always open if you would like to visit again. The people have to feel comfortable attending for the first time. A personal invitation
is truly one of the most effective models of outreach
6
according to Searcy. The key is for us to provide relevant, simple, nonthreatening ways for our team and others to invite their friends.
7
There is no dress code for attending services, people need to be comfortable. I believe this is the reason for many not to attend church because they do not have the right church attire, but if we do not have a requirement then the people will come. I do believe God is not looking at how we dress but more so at the heart of men. Once the person comes, the Holy Spirit will convict them as to how to dress for service. According to Hesselgrave in Planting Churches Cross-Culturally
, “God is no respecter of persons” (Acts 10:34 KJV); he loves all and “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim. 2:4).
8
Our Lord reached out to all people. The aim in the strategy of contact should be to reach all people with the gospel,
9
according to Hesselgrave. As the church launch, there will be opportunity for people and families to join: pastoral care team, discipleship classes, praise team member, different ministries of the church, and counseling, as well as other opportunities. Being a Non-Denominational, we do not have Sunday school but weekly service. Sunday morning at 10:30 sharp the service will begin and on Tuesday

at 6:30pm for bible study. Searcy and Thomas talk in the book about launching once a month just
to get a feel of service. This is the time to get a feel for staff, service and system to make sure is everything will flow. Monthly services are the best strategic precursor to the Grand opening (as it
is call the launch of your weekly services), and are well worth the effort that goes into planning and executing them.
10
Once the monthly service has been launch and running smoothly, then we can begin to add more services. When we begin to add more service, it will be Tuesday night bible study that will start at 6:30pm. This is an opportunity for everyone in the community to come out and learn more about the bible and ask questions if they have something concerning the bible. There will be also discipleship classes for new comers and ones that are thinking about becoming a member to attend, this class will be once a month. The discipleship class will be on a Saturday morning, from 9:00-12:00pm, monthly. During this class, they will learn about the church, growth, vision, expectations, different ministries, and also the gospel. At the end of the class will be an opportunity for people to come to Christ and who wants to become a member of the church. Once we are finished everyone who desires to be prayed for individually will have the chance and before dismissal corporal prayer will be done. We feel this will help lead individuals to Jesus
Christ and be a part of the church to become disciples for Christ. The style of worship for our church will be more up to date like traditional mix with contemporary. Worship is an essential part of our walk with Christ. There are different ways for us to worship, and some people are more drawn to one type over another. The important part is that we do worship the Lord.
11
Our church will do both praise and worship, 2 fast songs (praise) follow by 2 slow songs (worship). The songs will be performed by the praise team, there will be 10

no choir. All the words to the song will be on the screen for everyone to be able to join it and sing together. The worship leader will lead the praise team and congregation on the flow of how the music will go and the musicians will follow the lead. We all will stand during prayer, praise and worship time. This is a time for all to worship together during praise and worship. There will be many ways as I stated earlier on how we will show awareness in the area for people to know about the new church in the complex. We will hand out fliers in the community, at events going on in the city, in front of different stores, take fliers to businesses to hand out when customers come in and also go door to door to talk to the residents in the complex. We will also put on events to bring families out so they can know about the church planted in the area. We will put together a budget just for advertising, so we can mail out postcards, list in the newspaper, social media platforms, advertise on the radio and put it on billboards to make sure people are aware of the new church. But we will used our voices to let many people know what we are doing in the community. There is work that will have to be put in and research into making sure the numbers are on target, according to the Launch
, this is the best way for an initial draft of the budget and if you commit to developing detailed strategy, budgeting becomes easier.
12
As we start the new church, it will require funding from people, sponsor churches, family
members, and donations in order to plant a church and the salary for the planter. The funds would be used for: monitors, sound equipment, chairs, building, advertising, projector screens, and other items the church may need to start. A budget should be the first thing to do when planting a church. According to Searcy and Thomas, our budget will be the foundational 12

document that tells us and our financial partners (those who are helping us to start the church) what it is going to take to launch.
13
Our leadership team would be: the senior pastor, co-pastor, assistant pastor, pastoral team, church board, trustees’ board, the fivefold ministry that will make up the team and other staff to make the leadership where it should be to help move the church forward. Having a board will help keep things in good standard being a non-profit organization. The church will be 501c3,
there are things we can and cannot do. The church will have everything that is needed to run the ministry legally and properly. Our first gathering will be in our church building located in Osceola, Arkansas. Some may start their service inside of their home, store front church, building or even a conference room rented from a hotel. Once the church begin to outgrown, we will add onto the property to extend out the building for more room. Launching a new church that grows quickly, positively impacts the community, reaches the lost, helps people mature in their faith, and then starts more new churches nearby and around the world is entirely possible-with God!
14
There is so much that
needs to be done when launching a church it takes prayer, funding, people, area to launch, etc. but if God called you to start a church, give all of the potential and possibilities over to him and trust him to lead your work.
15
Then, and only then, will your church become a place of greater success and significance than you ever imagined.
