Introduction
Several theological disagreements within the church result from the significance, implications, and practice of baptism, as the relationship between the belief that baptism is a cornerstone of unity within the church and the reality that there are divisions between those churches that believe infant baptism is a reality, and those churches that emphasize the importance of believer baptism resulted in several theological disagreements within the church. While both occur in the Church as a community of faith, they have different connotations. Those who favor or criticize each approach to baptism present supporting scriptures. The subject of infant baptism practice vs adult baptism practice,

according to Heller, represents the greatest disparity visible in the responses [of the churches to the Baptism, Eucharist, and Ministry (BEM)
statement].

It is critical to understand that infant baptism emphasizes both the grace of Christ and the commitment of parents and congregations to the child. In contrast, believer baptism emphasizes both the individual's decision to become a believer and the public affirmation of that faith with baptism. This has led to theological debates as to the significance and relevance of infant baptism and believer's baptism. Bibliography
