Forum 3: What do I do now? Topic: Once the Holy Spirit was rediscovered during the Pentecostal Movement, people started partnering with Him through their gifts. What will you do with your spiritual gifts now that you have discovered what some of them are? Explain as well how you plan to use these gifts soon. gift of knowledge, wisdom and hospitality If you have discovered that you have the gift of knowledge, you can use it to deepen your understanding of God's Word and theological concepts. This gift can enable you to study and comprehend scripture in a profound way, which can be valuable in teaching and explaining biblical truths to others. You can share your knowledge through teaching, writing, or engaging in discussions with fellow believers ( Voight, 1988). The gift of wisdom often goes hand in hand with knowledge. With wisdom, you can apply biblical principles to real-life situations and provide godly counsel to those in need. You can offer guidance, discernment, and practical advice to individuals who are facing challenges or seeking direction. Wisdom can be shared through mentoring relationships, counseling, or offering insights in group discussions. The gift of hospitality involves creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for others. With this gift, you can extend warmth, care, and love to those around you. You can open your home, provide hospitality to strangers, and create spaces where people feel comfortable and valued. Hospitality can also manifest in the way you listen to others, show empathy, and offer support ( Voight, 1988). You can use this gift by actively engaging with others, inviting them into your life, and creating meaningful connections. In terms of how to use these gifts soon, it will depend on your circumstances and the opportunities that arise. You can consider getting involved
in your local church community, volunteering for roles that align with your gifts. For example, you could join a teaching ministry, serve as a mentor, or participate in hospitality teams. Additionally, you can look for ways to utilize your gifts outside of the church setting, such as engaging in charitable work, community outreach programs, or participating in discussions and forums where your knowledge and wisdom can be shared.
