I believe gods would be the author of my destiny as I am praying frequently. I am a Buddhist who pray for a number of gods and therefore I am classified as Polytheism. Each gods have their own history that make them become gods. The concept is inline with the heroized ancestor with favourable conditions to become the gods (Farnell, 1925). Buddhism believe that humans should be doing good things in order to achieve enlightenment (Clarke, n.d.). Practical results will ensure getting wishes coming true (Clarke, n.d.). There are also great emphasis of cause and effect in Buddhism (Clark, n.d.). For this instance, it would be great for us to do good things by helping the needy. It would also considered great for not harming others in any ways. I am practicing to reduce for meat consumption in order to reduce the harm that could be created to the animals.
The beliefs in gods are rather vague in human minds. There are continuous mystery related to the beliefs in gods in many elements. Fairbanks (1898) indicated that although gods have been an essential nature of the world, there are other ideas related
to gods exist in the world. Many feels that the nature is awful in many aspects but also consider how gods could be the vital force in the world (Farnell, 1925). The gods may be
spirits in one part, it could also be part of the development of the god concepts (Fairbanks, 1898). The existence of gods does not mean that there will be no evils. Therefore, it can be concluded that both gods and evils exist in the world. Evil spirits could be found in many religions showing tolerance nature of the world (Farnell, 1925). The explanation could be extended to why gods allow evils to existed.
The explanation of co-existence of gods and evils could be explained by the inherent nature and phenomena. It is up to the humans to decide whether they prefer gods or evils. Through the selection between gods and evils enable the gods to justify how human should be (Farnell, 1925). By including evils in the world, the gods ensure that human charity and fair judgement could be enhanced (Farnell, 1925). It is up to the human to judge while ensuring harmony existence of all kind of beliefs. This allows multiple attitudes to gods could be existed that allow promoting of religions.
