Kevin Garcia Research Question(s): Does culture influence attitudes and beliefs surrounding death and dying, and how does this impact grief? OR What are the long-term psychological impacts on individuals who have had near-death experiences, and how do these experiences shape their attitudes towards death? The first question falls within the stasis of conjecture or causation. It seeks to determine the potential cause-effect relationship between cultural influences, attitudes towards death, and their impact on the experience of grief. This question aims to explore whether culture directly contributes to shaping attitudes and beliefs surrounding death and how it affects the grieving process. The second question falls within the stasis of consequences. It aims to explore the lasting psychological effects on individuals who have undergone near-death experiences and how these encounters influence their perspectives, beliefs, and attitudes towards death over time. This question seeks to understand the consequential impact of these experiences on individuals' psychological well-being and their outlook on mortality.
