2 Introduction In the world of corporate recruiting, some would say our most important customers are our candidates. It’s crucial that candidates feel supported and respected, and our Talent Acquisition partners play a crucial role in making that happen. However, we can not deny that plenty of corporations could benefit from improvement initiatives concerning the candidate experience. If you have applied to any number of open roles in the past, you’ll most likely relate to the experience of wires getting crossed or communication falling short in the hiring process. If you’re an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ve likely suffered the consequences of that lack of communication, which is often times the loss of a candidate’s interest and their sudden withdrawal from the process. I suspect that a heightened awareness of the impact that frequent and transparent communication with candidates has on attrition rates could encourage a greater willingness to embrace a more communicative model, which leads me to my research question: How does communication frequency and transparency impact candidate turnover intentions and attrition during the hiring process?
