Links between psychological disengagement from school and different forms of self-esteem in the crucial period of early and mid-adolescence: This article examines the study done between the relationship of psychological disengagement from academics and self-esteem during two periods of puberty. Earlier studies had mixed findings, but this study was able to find a link that as disengagement from academics increased then self-esteem decreased. For girls who mature early, psychological problems last into adulthood: This article examines the relationship between adolescent girls starting puberty earlier, depression symptoms, and antisocial behaviors in adulthood. It is explained how girls who get their periods earlier tend to be more emotionally vulnerable as teenagers, which leads to being more susceptible to depression symptoms. Parental rejection and adolescents’ learning ability: a multiple mediating effects of values and self-esteem: This article focuses on the importance of parenting practices.
