2 Lilianna Ruger Response Dear Lilianna Ruger, Your discussion offers informative information regarding PTSD in a analytical manner which allows the reader to examine the effects and benefits of the humanistic approach. You compare the two different paths of trauma management; the PACT model vs. the humanistic approach. This allows your discussion to be engaging as the reader as to understand each of the model and establish which is more applicable and in what situation. I agree with you that there are more benefits for those who employ a humanistic approach as there are fewer negative effects on those individuals who have chosen to use a PACT model. This is because using a humanistic approach allows for individualized support and also allows for a more personal connection with the therapist. The therapist is able to come from a more authentic place, understanding the individual’s needs as opposed to having to follow a formulaic approach.
