Claudia, Counselors must help clients identify external and internal resources because they can be vital in resolving conflicts and instilling hope. Person-Centered therapy would be an excellent approach for clients who need help seeing different perspectives. Client-centered therapy focuses on the client as the primary agent for constructive self-change. The belief is that individuals are capable of self-directed growth without much direct intervention on the therapist’s part.
