When you drag the red ball across the screen – from a stopped/standing position – in any direction, which vector shows up first? What does this mean in terms of the mo- tion of the ball? Answer: By dragging the red ball, I observe that its velocity increases, and by slowing the motion of the red ball then deceleration is produced, the deceleration vector is al- ways opposite to the acceleration vector. Q6. In uniform circular motion, in which direction is the velocity vector pointing? Answer: The velocity changes at every point due to a change in direction. The green ar- row length is changing while the blue arrow remains constant. Q7. In uniform circular motion, in which direction is the acceleration vector pointing? Answer: The acceleration remains constant. Q8: What is another example of a two-body system that this circular motion could repre- sent? Answer: The body’s speed is constant, but its velocity is not constant. This changing ve- locity indicates the presence of an acceleration.
