Critical Thinking
Critical thinking is a process of analysis and review of the information obtained from observations, reasoning, and communication. It also requires the ability to think independently and objectively creating arguments. It is to analyze, make decisions, and problem-solve. The core of our success lies in academic and professional problem-solving and decision-making. “In the fields of philosophy, psychology, and education, critical thinking literature is based on more than one academic discipline, which is dealt with and interpreted in different ways” (Altun &Yildrim) (2023). A skill that enhances one's abilities
but there are multiple definitions for critical thinking depending on when and how. Knowing how to go step by step can determine how critical thinking is done. Questioning, Reason by Logic, and Diversification The cultivation of these three fundamental mind skills
will go a long way to help you improve in an increasingly desired skill (Bouygues et al., 2019). Implementing these daily acts could improve your critical thinking skills. Although they might be habits you are familiar with and do use but are encouraged more than usual for better results. Critical thinking is not just a skill but a sort of disposition. Skills and dispositions complement each other in the critical thinking process by an attitude or disposition to recognize when a skill is needed and to be willing to use it (Altun &Yildirim) (2023). In other words, understanding when and how to use the skill improves critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills and dispositions are recommended to be used together for a stronger outcome of perception and structure. Critical thinking takes more than judgment and evaluation is understanding, approaching, and wanting to use it. It is not sufficient for a person to possess critical thinking skills that he or she can use critical thinking (Carter et al., 2022). Critical thinking is leading to success.
