What two games did your class play this week? (1 point)
Blog tag
Eskimo ball
2.
How can you apply something that you learned in the games this week to your
life as a college student? (1 point)
Something that I learned from the games this week is that there will always be a time where I
might be busier than others. I can use the game as part of my life as a college student as I will be
using flexibility in many different ways. Playing the game of tag can be applied in my life as a
college student by having a busy schedule when I am constantly going to different places. As a
college student when I am always going different places I can relate this to the game of tag.
Whenever I play the game of tag I am constantly running all over the place trying to tag people.
Something that I learned while playing the game of tag is that everyone has to be flexible and
constantly be moving around or they will get run over or run into. I am often not the most active
person and when I have to play a game like tag, there are times where I will get run into.
Throughout my life as a college student I can apply what I learned through playing the game of
tag as I will need to be aware of my surroundings. As a college student it is important to be
constantly active and moving even if it is going to the gym or playing and doing some kind of
physical activity. With playing the game of tag I have learned that some of the things that I do
need to be done need to be done at a faster or slower pace.
With playing the game of Eskimo ball in class this week, I have learned that the game is played
at a fast pace and everyone has to participate, cooperate and work as a team. Playing the eskimo
ball game can affect my life as a college student by having to make changes or transitions
constantly. When I participated in playing the Eskimo game in class my team alternated from
either kicking a variety of different sports balls to the other team who had to catch the ball and
get in a line to pass to everyone on the team. With this particular game that was played, I learned
not only how to play the game but also how this game can be applied to my life as a college
student. One way of how this game can be applied to my life as a college student is the quick
transitions like going from classes that are back to back and meetings.
3. How can you apply something that you learned in the games this week to your
spiritual life? What scripture, passage of scripture, or Bible character represents
this lesson? (1 point)
I can apply the game of tag to my daily spiritual life as I am surrounded by both Christians and
non-Christians. When I play the game of tag, I will often get tagged and can’t move because I am
frozen. No matter what kind of game of tag that I play, whether it is spiritual tag or even a game
of Blog tag, whenever someone is frozen, including myself we are unable to become unfrozen
until someone tags us again. When playing a game of spiritual tag, only when Jesus frees me am
I able to be truly free. Whenever the game of spiritual tag is played, there might be players who
are running away from God and trying to avoid the truth of his word. But once God tags them,
their life changes and everyone around them sees the change. When playing spiritual tag, there
might be people who would be running closer to God and they would be tagged. I can apply the
game of tag in my everyday spiritual life from the time that I spend reading my Bible. The things
that I learned through playing the different games of tag is flexibility and knowing that I have to
constantly be moving and I can apply this to my daily spiritual life by making sure that I have
more flexibility in my schedule to spend even more time with the Lord than I already am.
The book of Ephesians reveals the process of how the game of tag occurred in Scripture. Within
this particular book of the Bible they first heard the truth which is the good news of salvation.
They also heard that Jesus Christ came to die upon the cross to be that perfect sacrifice for sin,
and by the blood He shed upon the cross, their sins can be now forgiven, and they can now
become brand new creations. Upon hearing the truth, they came to believe and they trusted in
saving the work of Jesus Christ for their lives. It might oftentimes be said that God tagged them
with the Holy Spirit, and they began to transform, and the difference became evident to all.
Being tagged with the Holy Spirit is the evidence of their salvation. With this being said, the
game of tag that is played whether it is a spiritual version or one of the versions that we played in
class like the game of Blog tag. A part of scripture that relates to this is Ephesians 1:13-14 NIV.
I can apply the game of Eskimo ball to my daily spiritual life as I am constantly transitioning
from either kicking the ball or catching the ball. This can relate to my spiritual life by
transitioning from place to place where I am surrounded by both Christians and non-Christians.
Throughout my spiritual life, I will often transition from reading different passages or different
books of the Bible. Because sports can oftentimes be applied and incorporated as well as relating
to a physical aspect, it can lead an athlete to personal transfiguration, communal understanding,
and redemption of life’s purpose and possibilities. The correspondence of sports and spiritual life
gives us athletes and even non-athletes the opportunity to come together and learn from each
other and also grow closer to one another. With playing the Eskimo game, there was some
competitiveness involved for our team to be able to win which was fierceful, however, God
wants us to have good sportsmanship. The Bible talks about sportsmanship and a verse that
relates to this particular game of both teams giving good sportsmanship is Ephesians 4:32 “Be
kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” This
verse emphasizes the importance of kindness and forgiveness in sportsmanship. It reminds
athletes to treat one another with compassion, bearing in mind the forgiveness and grace they
have received from God. Another biblical aspect or part of the Bible that relates to having good
sportsmanship within playing this game is “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and
love and self-control. Be a team player. Just like in the body of Christ, we each have different
talents and strengths, that when used together, can accomplish great things” ( 1 Corinthians
12:27). No one person can win without the help and support of others.
4.
Do you feel confident that you could lead this game? Why or Why not? (1 point)
If someone asked me if I could lead the game of tag no matter what kind of tag game is being
played I would most confidently say that I could lead the game whether it is played in class or
outside of class. I could lead the game of Blog tag that we played in class especially since I have
had experience of how the game is played as well as participating playing the game. I could
without a doubt say that I can lead the game whether it is in a class or with a group of friends
because I have played the game of tag since I was in elementary school. I have played a variety

of different games of tag throughout my entire life and I feel like I could most certainly lead the
game of tag whether it is the one of the games that we played in class or a different one game of
tag. I am a childcare worker at my church, I feel like I can definitely lead the game of Blog tag as
well as any other games. As a part of my job, I have to teach the kids that I work with some kind
of game. I feel like I could teach the game of tag to anyone whether it is the people in my hall or
even my friends.
If I was asked if I could lead the game that we played in class called Eskimo ball I would say that
I could probably lead the game. During the first two rounds of the game I wasn’t quite sure how
the game was supposed to be played but after the first two rounds of the game I had a better
feeling and idea of how the play is supposed to be played. At first I didn’t know if I could lead
the game to the class, my friends or people in my hall. As this is a game that I have never played
before, at the beginning of the game I couldn’t really say if I could really lead the game or not
because I didn’t know how to play the game. However, I feel like I can now say that I could play
the game if I was asked to.
5.
Do you feel confident that you could lead the “processing” of this game? Why or
Why not? (1 point)
When I was playing the different tag games that we played in class, the processing part of how
the game was being played was a little bit confusing at first but after seeing how the game is
played I could understand the rules of the game better. I feel like I could definitely be good at
leading the processing of any tag game whether it is the game of Blog tag after watching to see
how the game is being played. Using what I learned about playing the different games of tag I
can lead the processing of any game like the game of Blog tag as I am a faster learner and I can
learn things quickly. After playing the Eskimo ball game, I feel like I can lead the processing of
the game if I had to. When I am playing a game like Eskimo ball that I never played before or
never heard of, it can be hard for me to say that I can lead the processing of the game to the class,
people in my hall or even my friends. After seeing how the game is played and even playing the
game I can more confidently say that I could lead the processing of this game if I was asked to.
When I helped with vacation Bible school, the theme was called game changer and one of the
games that we played was a sports game. After reading the instructions for how each game is
going to be played, I was easily able to lead the processing game with the other leader that I
worked with. After teaching the game to the kids they were able to understand the process of the
game once I explained it to them and showed them how it was supposed to be played.
