Part 1
According to
Rodriguez (2021), a worldview is an individual’s perspective or
expectations of the world around them, which inform their actions and thoughts. This perspective
is based on the individual’s cultural, ideological, or religious beliefs that form from a
combination of experimental and societal factors. Christianity religion, for instance, shapes how
Christians live and interact with other people to lead a righteous life since they subscribe to the
Christianity teachings in 2 Timothy 3:17 (
King James Bible, 2017)
. Apostle Paul taught
Christians how to bless their lives by correcting their mistakes and living righteous life in this
scripture. Therefore, based on this scripture, Christians are expected to lead righteous lives,
implying that they must act right and morally.
Part 2
The Question of Origin
Genesis 1:1-26 sums up the origin of the universe. The scripture states that in the
beginning, God created the heavens and earth, implying that He was solely responsible for
creating the earth, thus, the origin of the universe (
King James Bible, 2017). Similarly, from the
above scripture, the origin and existence of humanity are mentioned, where the scripture tells us
that God created, gave, and breathed life to humans from dust. Likewise, Psalms 139:13-15
shows that humanity came to existence when God created and knitted together humans in their
mother’s womb (
King James Bible, 2017). Generally, the two scriptures show that the existence
of humanity came from God’s creation.
3
The Question of Identity
To be human is to be in the image and likelihood of God. It is apparent from Genesis 1:27
that God created humans in his own image, which explains the nobility that distinguishes the
human race from all other living things (
King James Bible, 2017). By creating humans in his
own image, God made humans more important than other things, and that is why God instructed
humankind to have dominion over the birds of the air, the fish of the sea, cattle, and all animals
on earth (
King James Bible, 2017, Genesis 1:26-28). However, despite being given dominion
over all living things and making humans the most important creatures, God instructed humans
in Genesis 9:3-4 to treat all living things with care and respect.
The Question of Meaning/ Purpose
In John 9:4 and Mathew 5:16, the Bible states that humanity’s purpose is to abide in God
because He is the source of our true life and peace (
King James Bible, 2017). God created
humans from dust with the freedom to accept, love, or reject God, and man chose to believe in
the devil. As a result, humans were denied eternal life, though given a second for redemption and
life after God sacrificed his only begotten son. Since then, humans have had only one purpose-to
abide in God. According to Thessalonians 5:17 and Acts 17:11, abiding by God implies that
humans should have a daily connection with God through studying His Word (
King James Bible,
2017).
The Question of Morality
Ethics studies morality and serves as a guide for people to choose the right path in life,
giving rise to the confusing concepts of what may be conceived as “right” or “wrong.” Generally,
doing acts that follow morality is what is meant by “right,” while doing acts that do not follow

morality is what is meant by “wrong” (
Beard, 2019). Morality is not biologically determined;
rather, it is determined by religious beliefs or cultural traditions because they provide a set of
morals that determine right and wrong. In Christianity, the set of morals that determine right or
wrong is derived from the Ten Commandments. Romans 12:1, 2, and 2 Timothy 3:16 state that
without the Word of God, it could be impossible for humans to distinguish right or wrong and
what pleases God (
King James Bible, 2017).
The Question of Destiny
According to the Bible, death is a destiny for every creature in the future. Many events,
including resurrection, facing God’s judgment, and having eternal life, have been foretold to
happen when one dies. However, in Isaiah 26: 19, the Bible says that when people die, they will
live when judgment day comes, and their bodies will rise to heaven. In addition, Mathew 8:29
and Daniel 12:2 state that some of the risen people will have everlasting life, while the rest will
be put to an everlasting contempt as punishment for their sins (
King James Bible, 2017).
Part 3
1.
...think about and treat a person who doesn’t hold your beliefs?
Technically, we ought to think about and treat everyone equally and fairly regardless of
their religious beliefs. This implies that we should think about and interact with people who do
not subscribe to our beliefs the same way we interact with people with whom we share religious
beliefs. However, Corinthians 15:33 and John 1:9-11 are against us thinking the same about or
interacting with people who do not subscribe to our beliefs the same way we do with believers
because they will ruin our good morals and make us part of wicked works (
King James Bible,
5
2017). This implies that we should consider people who do not subscribe to our beliefs as wicked
people and avoid interacting with them.
3. …voting in local or national elections?
Deuteronomy 1:13 and Romans 13:1-8 encourage us, Christians, to participate in national
elections to choose wise and respected men whom God will set to control us and allow ourselves
to be their subjects because they are authority established by God (
King James Bible, 2017).
