The data support my endeavor to elucidate to a colleague the significance of refraining from saline instillation during suctioning in order to optimize patient well-being and persuade them to adopt the same practice. The observed effects include a decrease in oxygen saturation (hypoxemia), heightened anxiety, difficulty breathing (dyspnea), and escalating pain. Additionally, there is an increase in heart rate, mean arterial pressure, and intracranial pressure. The act of dislodging bacterial colonies in the secretion leads to a greater contamination of the lower airway, resulting in infection. Furthermore, the antimicrobial properties in the respiratory secretion are compromised, leading to bronchospasm. In severe cases, this can lead to cardiac and respiratory arrest. It is important to note that these actions do not improve oxygenation or the yield of secretions. The distress experienced by those affected is readily apparent. The gold standard treatment include administering fluids, humidifying the respiratory air, administering mucolytic medications, and promoting ambulation to the greatest extent feasible. The fifth phase involves evaluating the outcomes of the practice choices or revisions, based on the available data. The outcomes should result in reduced stress and alleviation of pain for the patients.

Minimize the probability of illnesses such as pneumonia and bronchitis, while enhancing the overall quality of life for patients. Phase 6: Communicating the Results of Evidence-Based Practice In the workplace Presenting instructional poster boards in the hospital's waiting room and delivering lectures on the hazards of saline instillation, among other activities. Promote talks about the hazards of saline instillation and strategies to avoid it. Placing a brochure cautioning against the use of saline instillation at every nursing station in the hospital; Convene a meeting to deliberate on strategies for promoting awareness about the need of avoiding saline instillation.
