2 Implementation Plan The DNP project focuses on using the family integration intervention to foster improved mental health outcomes for the BME community members with diverse mental illnesses. The BME community members are prone to poor mental health outcomes due to challenges experienced in access to mental healthcare services in the country ( Codjoe et al., 2019 ). As identified in the project, most people from this population experience high levels of discrimination in clinical areas, adversely impacting their health-seeking behaviors and commitment to therapy. The primary purpose is to comprehensively overview the project implementation process, including data collection, use of codebooks, and educational programs for data handlers. Overview of the Project People from this population are largely influenced by their cultural norms and beliefs, which significantly impacts their perceptions of mental illnesses ( Billingsley & Hurd, 2019 ). Due to this reason, the affected persons seek rituals and prayers to help cast out the demons, which are perceived as the primary causes of mental illnesses ( Billingsley & Hurd, 2019 ). Additionally, mental illnesses are highly stigmatized within this population, and thus the majority of the people seek therapy at advanced disease stages, which subjects them to the onset of disease-related complications and overall poor mental health outcomes ( Codjoe et al., 2019 ). Moreover, the family integration initiatives positively impact the affected persons' mental health outcomes as it fosters moral and social support to ensure patients adhere to therapy and formulate effective therapy goals in collaboration with healthcare providers to achieve positive health outcomes ( Billingsley & Hurd, 2019 ).
3 Data Collection I sent a survey or questionnaire to 17 mental health providers at my forensic department. Ten of them responded. The questionnaire was essentially trying to get their perception of black minority ethnicity and the impact of family integration on their mental health treatments. About half of them knew what BME stood for and agreed that this population is prevalent in the correctional setting. 90% of the respondents agree or perceive that family participation will positively impact mental health treatment adherence and/or the completion of recommended treatment. The challenge is finding a streamlined, consistent way to include family participation since the treatments are initiated or continued in a correctional setting. The department is looking for ways to include caseworker social workers as liaisons to get the connection of family members when patients are released from custody. And the outside agency caseworker will then note if and when the patients keep their outpatient mental health appointments after the release. My goal is to revisit or resend this questionnaire about six months after implementation to see what the status of this process is. The questionnaires were sent using Survey Monkey, and statistical evaluation was not required, so by reviewing the responses, I achieved the above-stated percentages. From validated research, mostly in Chapter 2 of this project, it is proven that when families participate in mental health treatment, it helps with mental health recovery or sustained recommended treatment. This will positively impact this population or the community by having accessible equal Mental Health Services And implementing ways to integrate family members' assistance so that patients will continue recommended treatments. This will decrease the prevalence of delayed mental health Service seeking behaviors and hopefully reduce the advanced disease process.

4 Codebook The DNP project employed use a codebook to analyze all the study variables in the retrieved dataset. The details were entered into the codebook, including the name of each assigned variable, what the variable presents, how it was measured either as a nominal, scale, or ordinal variable, and how each variable was recorded in the raw data. At this stage of variable entry, the recording phases presented the study variable in numeric string and described the study characters into the actual numbers and number of decimals in each variable. The process also involved describing the scale variables, where study variables where described based on the units of measurement. The categorical variables were be coded in a numerical format, and each assigned a numeric code based on the variable presented. Using the codebook also helped the DNP student provide detailed documentation about how and when the project data was created. Moreover, using the stated aspects helped to comprehensively illustrate the DNP project contents clearly and succinctly for easy understanding by the readers and all the relevant stakeholders. Using the data entered into the codebook makes it easy for the stakeholders to make an informed decision on the project findings and ascertain the reliability of the proposed evidence-based project in addressing the topic of discussion ( McGowan et al., 2019 ) Education Plans All the project members responsible for data collection, identification, and analysis underwent a comprehensive education process to enable them to retrieve relevant data on the study data and observe all the essential variables to aid in data analysis. The participants were trained on how to analyze each parameter and draw a conclusive report on the research topic to
5 help identify the primary contributors to BME community members' poor mental health outcomes and ascertain how the family integration initiative can help to achieve positive outcomes. The data handlers were also be trained on ethical principles to observe human subjects involved in the research process. The process involved training them on how to administer informed consent to the participants to ensure all the participants participate in the activity based on their own will. Additionally, the data handlers were trained to code each participant’s data to avoid using their names, which may contribute to a breach of their privacy and confidentiality. The data handlers were also be trained on the need to observe the autonomy of the participants and recognize the participants for their willingness to share their ideas on the topic. Conclusion Undertaking a DNP project is a comprehensive activity that calls for high levels of preparedness and commitment in analyzing the selected project topic. The project's success largely depends on data collection and analysis accuracy to ensure all the essential parameters are comprehensively analyzed. Incorporating the full project details enhances success in implementing the proposed EBP intervention to address the identified practice problem wholly.
