Informed consent is a process of communication between you and your health care provider that often leads to agreement or permission for care, treatment, or services. Every patient has the right to get information and ask questions before procedures and treatments What are some of the challenges of individuals with Autism when taking or when giving them medication? dealing with their side effects or being able to help them understand what medication they are taking and why. How Should Educators, Parents, and Health Professionals Collaborate? Why is this important? They should collaborate through medical evaluations, reviewing data, checking in with medications and all share the same information with each other. This is important so that everyone is on the same page and understands.
