Most of the topics I am encountering in this course I found to be interesting and exciting to learn, and I am eager to absorb this newfound knowledge. One aspect that has particularly got my interest is the exploration of various literary styles within the Bible, encompassing narrative, poetry, and the previously unfamiliar term "prose discourse." Prose discourse, as I've come to understand, involves the presentation of arguments to an audience with the aim of influencing their behavior and thoughts. This often entails the skillful use of conjunctions to link ideas and underscore crucial points (Matthew, 2022). The course's instructional videos have proven to be invaluable tools, making clear the complexities of biblical reading. As a visual learner, I have struggle with understanding how to effectively engage with the Bible's text, and these videos have been a great tool to understand better. They offer clear explanations and have made the learning process not only accessible but also enjoyable. Regarding the topics of disease and healing, I believe that we, as healthcare providers, can play a significant role in guiding patients through their illness journeys with compassion and respect, regardless of their diverse beliefs and spiritual backgrounds. We can offer the care that patients need, utilizing interventions and medications as appropriate. However, within a Christian framework, while medicine is highly valued for its positive impact on health, it is essential to acknowledge its limitations. Medicine cannot conquer mortality, and it may fall short in fully addressing the spiritual needs of patients despite its best efforts (Hogan & Bogue, 2022). References Hogan, M. & Bogue D.
