Students are expected to address the initial discussion question by Wednesday of each week. Participation in the discussion forum requires a minimum of three (3) substantive postings (this includes your initial post and posting to two peers) on three (3) different days. Substantive means that you add something new to the discussion. This is also a time to ask questions or offer information surrounding the topic addressed by your peers. Personal experience is appropriate for a substantive discussion, however, should
be correlated to the literature.
All discussion boards will be evaluated utilizing rubric criteria inclusive of content, analysis, collaboration, and writing. If you fail to post an initial discussion or the initial discussion is late, you will not receive points for content and analysis, you may however
post to your peers for partial credit following the guidelines above.

Please review post and response expectations. Please review the rubric to ensure that your response meets criteria. Estimated time to complete: 1 hour I'm from Louisiana. I am currently pursuing a degree for medical assistant. After graduating I plan on going back to school for LPN. I am currently unemployed to focus more on my school work and kids. I have a 5 year old son and a 1 year old little girl. I will apply the knowledge I learned by getting a job in the field and learning more as I go to better myself. ●

It is important because you have so keep the same professionalism in the work pace as you do with the proctor. It's best to treat meeting with your proctor as if it's a job. ●
What would you do if give a patient the wrong medication that was ordered from the physician?
If I was to give the patient the wrong medicine I would immediately notify the
patient and doctor of my mistake. I would then call the pharmacy to make sure they have the correct order. ●
You will be presented with many different medications in the medical facility. What will you personally do to educate yourself about medications you are unfamiliar with?
In order to educate myself more about medicine I'm unfamiliar with I would make flash cards to study. I would also get a white board and write down everything I know about the medication without help to see what I would be leaving out or what I need to study more. ●
In your opinion, what is the most important takeaway that was presented in this unit’s material and how will it relate to your career as a
medical assistant?
