Recent development work has produced sensors to
monitor these sprays in real time in-process for pressure,
flow, temperature, spray pattern, spray drop size, and
spray impact. Many of these systems use patented laser-
based technology (cool stuff!). These sensors feed online
dashboards that show the current state of the sprays.
This project will have the students 1) understand the
current sensors offered by Spraying Systems 2) identify
and design uses for the data streams 3) implement new
sensors, dashboards, and tools and 3) develop marketing
materials and return-on-investment (ROI) strategies to
promote and find candidate customers.

Our objective is to design a high-performance miniature
hydroplane through a comprehensive process involving
Solidworks, ANSYS simulations, and fluid dynamics
analysis. We will focus on internal structural support,

weight distribution to optimize the hydroplanes
performance. This research will culminate in the
construction of a physical prototype using what we
learned.

The end product would be a demonstration of a robot
accurately picking up and placing an object using a low
cost machine vision system. The robot would use vision
to identify the location and orientation of the part, pick it
up, then use machine vision to locate the position of the
place position (such as in a second fixture) and place it
there.
Ideally, we could demonstrate this with any part that
would fit the robot grippers. The vision system should
be able to be taught to identify different parts and
handle them appropriately.

Task 1
You are employed as a mechanical engineer within an unnamed research center, specializing in the
development of innovative air conditioning systems. Your division is tasked with providing computer-based
modeling and design solutions using computational fluid dynamics through ANSYS software. Your primary
responsibilities involve the analysis of horizontal channel dynamics to meet specific criteria. Under the

Jasim Review/Recap Sheet Q1- Answer with true or false and rewrite the false statements completely in correct form, otherwise no mark will be put on the false statements. 1 2 To represent a location on earth surface you need to define its altitude and longitude angles. 3 Solar zenith and solar incidence angles have the same value for horizontal surface. At sunset time the value of solar altitude angle is maximum. 4 The angle which represents the inclination of a given surface is the zenith angle 5 6 7 8 When the absolute value of sun-wall azimuth angle exceeds 90' this means that the sun rays are reaching the receiving plane. The solar irradiance and the solar irradiation have the same physical meaning. In the case of clear sky weather, the beam solar irradiation on a horizontal surface is less than the diffused irradiation. The total solar radiation received by a tilted surface is the same as that…arrow_forward
