Your Answer: 1. To differentiate instruction by product through changing the entry point you could have a bellringer on the board such as “Provide an example of figurative language”. To make this differentiation effective you must give students an option. For this I would probably let students work independently or with a partner. I would also let students choose between drawing a picture to represent their figurative language or writing a short story that shows how the figurative language is used. 2. To differentiate instruction by product through changing the exit point I would have an exit slip such as “What are the 3 branches of government called”. For this I would allow students to create either an infographic or a short powerpoint presentation that demonstrates their knowledge. For this exit slip I would also allow students to work in groups or independently. *** Please, upload a separate word document for each reflective journal.
